MINDING EACH MOMENT
MY STORY and ABOUT ME
Andrea Osborne
Yoga Teacher
Hi I’m Andrea, and I'm a fully qualified yoga instructor, a mindfulness practitioner and a therapeutic youth worker. I’m also a Canadian girl who grew up canoeing and having snowball fights with two brothers and a sister. Nowadays I am also a wife, and a mother to two fabulous teenage boys.
Through my yoga teaching I am devoted to supporting people to increase their resiliency by building self-awareness, through understanding the connection between the mind and the body.
I especially love working with women as I am absolutely passionate about female health and wellbeing - because lets face it, we are often busy taking care of family, working and rarely making enough time for ourselves. Moreover, through our teenage years - and for many of us pregnancy, and then the menopause - we are often impacted by the fluctuations of our hormones.
Having walked a difficult path in learning to find balance and peace in my own life, body and mind, I have come to enjoy supporting women to take care of themselves - so that you are in the best mental and physical health to enjoy your time at work, at play, and with family.
I’ve worked with hundreds of parents supporting them through the perinatal period doing pregnancy yoga, postnatal yoga, as well as baby massage and mindfulness. As I move through my own menopause journey I now look forward to having others join me on this midlife yogic path.
When I’m not teaching, I'm often at work with the Mobile Blood Donation Team here in Somerset. But you might also find me at the boxing gym, with the family in the garden, out walking the dog or - funny enough - doing yoga!
